About Codentity and the Right To Use Our Software
Codentity® LLC is the developer, publisher, master distributor, and licensor of all versions of Music MegaBase™ Catalog (MMBC), the True Blend™ Media Player System (MPS), and the Music MegaBase™ DJ Media Player Mixer Express™ (MPMe)—and their companion software titles. These products are referred to as “Codentity software”. Codentity software also includes product descriptions, designs, HELP documentation, and a system of proprietary security technologies (collectively named "Codentity License Manager").
Our products and services are sold through this Web site. From time to time, Codentity may feature special offers on EBay®. Mainstreet Sales is a Codentity authorized reseller for listings on Amazon® Web sites. Codentity does not have software development, distribution or sales agreements with any other entities.
Codentity software is not sold, however, it can be licensed under certain conditions. For eligible persons, Codentity software can be licensed for a transaction payment (which will include at least one license fee and at least one service fee). The applicable EULA (End User License Agreement) is the contract that governs how users may install and use Codentity software (and any Codentity-supplied third-party software). As disclosed in the EULA, Codentity software may be subject to periodic re-activation.
Codentity software products include technology to detect and disable unauthorized users. This protection makes it possible for Codentity to lower the cost of legally-licensed products. It is a violation of the EULA (End User License Agreement) to use, or attempt to use, log on identities not authorized by Codentity LLC. The EULA includes other restrictions. Users who violate the terms of the EULA are subject to immediate license termination which can result in product termination and license forfeiture without monetary compensation of any kind. (See paragraphs below.)
Codentity software (I.e., the software program[s] and their technologies) can only be licensed for distribution and use in the United States of America (USA), and exportation to foreign countries is expressly prohibited.
Codentity software is protected by various USA and international copyright laws. Codentity software and its associated trade names and technologies may also be protected by trademark law, and pending-patent regulation in the USA and / or other countries. Use of our beta software may require participation in the Codentity Beta Tester Program (see advisory notes below).
Codentity LLC also offers software development and consultation services, and other services, which are available for a fee and can be subject to restrictions. To learn more about Codentity services, click here.
IMPORTANT: Offers to license Codentity software must originate from Codentity LLC, an Illinois company. All other offers are explicitly NOT authorized by Codentity, and such offers may constitute fraud. Potential users should be aware that unless they obtain a valid license from Codentity, the ability to use the Codentity software may be denied. It is the user's obligation to obtain Codentity software from authorized sources, and at this time the only legitimate source is Codentity LLC headquartered in Westmont, IL USA.
Codentity License Manager Promotes Compliance
The EULA (End User License Agreement) also discloses that Codentity License Manager (CLM) is included with all publicly distributed software products. CLM has been developed to provide users with an easy tool to manage administrative control of their activation keys and license rights. CLM can deliver summaries of system metrics (as they may relate to operation of installed Codentity software). Codentity License Manager also monitors software operational events, and it is designed to detect and deter unauthorized activity.
Specifically, Codentity License Manager can recognize activity that may be intended to circumvent license restrictions, and CLM can direct the user to cease unlawful actions (such as date manipulation, logons with false user identities or passwords, and repeated attempts to use fabricated or misappropriated activation keys). If a user chooses to ignore successive CLM warnings, CLM technology can and may disable program access.**
CLM tabulates unauthorized user actions and stores the event log internally. At no time is the information automatically transferred to Codentity or any third party. However, to resolve license or technical issues—if they occur—the user may be asked to share CLM data with Codentity. This CLM data sharing can only happen with direct participation by, and the explicit permission of, the product user. To learn more, read the notes at www.codentity.com/privacy.
CLM works silently in the background and consumes a very small amount of system resources. Codentity License Manager cannot be disabled. **For extreme violations, CLM may impose a permanent program block which could result in license revocation and loss of data—without compensation.
